The last CUNYAC conference meet of the season for the Bearcats took place on Friday evening, January 16, and both teams arose victorious.

The women started on a strong note.
Adrianna Martinez, Amy Sung, Daniela Giraldo, and Safiya Sergeant teamed up to win the 200 medley relay.

With her two individual wins this evening,
Sally Lim passed the 1,000 career point mark to become only the fourth female Bearcat swimmer to reach this milestone.

In the first half of the meet, the men's team had swimmers place second in every event. Captain
Michael Matskovsky's second place finish in the 800 freestyle was the most notable, as after 32 laps he was touched-out by .01 of a second, for the time of 9:45.16.

By the midpoint of the meet, the men's team was trailing by 30 points, but they rallied hard to undo the deficit and win the meet by capturing every single event thereafter.

Matskovosky got the momentum started in the 100 backstroke, swimming a time of 1:03.53, well ahead of the second place finisher. The senior captain's win fueled the Bearcats to never look back.

Miguel Meza, who earlier placed second in the 100 butterfly, went on to win the 400 freestyle in a convincing fashion. Jonathan Hla and David Pejovic placed first and second in the 100 breaststroke, respectively, out-swimming Lehman's breaststrokers.

In the last race of the night, the 200 freestyle relay, the Bearcats would make this victory one for the books by both Bearcat 'A' and 'B' relays beating Lehman's 'A' relay.

The hard work of the men's team throughout the season earned them the 2014-2015 Regular Season CUNYAC Champions Title.

During the meet, the swimming team honored seniors
Yulia Lavrentieva, Sally Lim, Jessica Lin, Diana Luong, Francine Pinheiro, Kreshnik Deliu, Samuel Hwang, Michael Matskovsky, and Miguel Michel for all their years of service to Baruch swimming.
