Women's Tennis Begin NCAA Prep, Play Pratt in Non-Conference Action at USNTC

The women's tennis team is in action this Spring playing matches and preparing for the NCAA Tournament in May.

The Bearcats (12-2) took on the Cannoneers from the Pratt Institute in a non-conference match on a sunny and breezy Sunday afternoon at the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.

The two teams not only played on the outdoor courts but also had the opportunity to compete in the bigger grandstand stadiums within the campus of the tennis center.

The Cannoneers (9-0) won the match 6-3 after winning two of the three doubles and four of the six singles.

The Bearcats' second doubles duo of Aishika Yadav and Erica Sheludenko won 8-5. They won their singles points with Aishika winning again at second singles 6-0, 6-3, while Maria Calvo won at sixth singles 6-2, 6-3.  

The team will continue their NCAA preparations on April 22 with a match at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
