The men’s volleyball team recorded two victories today at the CUNYAC multi-match hosted by Hunter College.

In the first marquee volleyball match of the season between rivals Hunter and Baruch, the Bearcats narrowly walked away with an exciting five-set victory (32-30, 22-30, 23-30, 30-22, 15-12) against the Hawks.

Danial Levent rose to the occasion with 17 kills and three total blocks, while Radu Wyrwas dished out 42 assists. Matt McKee, the CUNYAC Rookie of the week for the second time this season, contributed eight kills and five blocks.

In the final match against CCNY, the team raised their record to a perfect 9-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference standings. The team recorded a sweep of 30-20, 30-27, 30-24 to defeat the Beavers for the second time this season.

Boris Svirsky had the finest match of his young career with 14 kills to lead the attack.

Radu Wyrwas had 28 assists and Kirill Yagnetinskiy notched two service aces and six total blocks.
