Men's Volleyball Defeats Rival Hunter in Five, Win CUNYAC regular Season Title

The men's volleyball team defeated the Hawks of Hunter College on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats recorded a 19-25, 25-20, 25-27, 25-22, 15-11 win in five sets, which helps avenge an earlier five-set loss to the Hawks on February 15.

Scott Standring (15 kills) and Brady Ambro (14 kills) led the attack again this evening, while Stephen Roach tallied 49 assists. Taylor Higgs came up big with 17 digs.

The Bearcats had a slightly better hitting percentage of .156 (54 kills) compared to the visitors with .123 (46 kills).

The team will have little time to rest as they will resume action tomorrow night, Wednesday, March 30, with a 7 p.m. match on Senior Night against No. 1 ranked SUNY-New Paltz.
