Women's Basketball Falls in Brooklyn

On Tuesday night, the women's basketball team lost a tough CUNYAC contest at Brooklyn College.

The visiting Bearcats dug themselves into a hole early trailing 14-3 after the first quarter and could not recover as they split the season season with Brooklyn (Bearcats won 61-56 back on January 3).

They forced Brooklyn into 21 turnovers but could not get the momentum to get the score closer as they fell 78-47.

Elissa Leung was the team's top scorer with 15 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Mia Castillo had 11 points and D'Andre McRae finished with 10 points shooting 4-of-6 from the field.

Brooklyn had four players in double-figure scoring and scored 26 second-chance points. Alina Estrella led their squad with 21 points in the home win.
