The men's tennis team lost a tough 5-4 contest to the Valiants of Manhattanville College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Valiants
from the Skyline Conference won two of the three doubles and both teams split the six singles for the narrow 5-4 result.
The visiting Bearcats won their lone point at second doubles behind the efforts of
Tuna Nergizoglu and
Liam Cooper winning, 8-1.
In the singles, Nergizoglu (#1, 6-2, 6-3),
Nicholas Santiago (#3, 6-2, 6-1) and
Reda Ljazouli (#5, 6-4, 6-2) came away victorious this afternoon.
NOTE: In Division III Tennis, every three doubles and every six singles are worth one point. Therefore, best of nine points wins the match. Â
