The women's basketball team went on the road Tuesday night to record a 73-50 victory at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
For the third time in her career, junior guard
Mia Castillo notched a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. She also added five steals in another all-around effort.
Tuesdays have been a good day of the week for Castillo. Last Tuesday, she scored her 1,000th career point in a contest at Centenary.
The visiting Bearcats led the entire way shooting 45% (18-for-40) in the first half and notched 13 total steals to help end a three-game losing streak.
Elissa Leung also had a solid game this evening with a season-high 23 points.
Anabela Jakelic was tops for the host Cannoners with a double-double of 24 points, 24 rebounds and six steals.
The Bearcats will next turn their focus to the start of their CUNYAC schedule with a 5:00 p.m. contest at rival Hunter College on Friday night.
