Women's Basketball Honors Elissa Leung on Bearcats Appreciation Night, Bearcats Win 80-39

The women's basketball team defeated the Cardinals of York College, 80-39, in a CUNYAC home contest on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 25-5 lead and never looked back on their way to booking their ninth CUNYAC win of the season, their most since the 2016-17 season.

Mia Castillo led the way with 41 points and is now third all-time in the Baruch women's basketball scoring charts.

The night's big star Elissa Leung finished with 21 points, nine assists, and two steals. 

Brianna Lopez grabbed a career-high nine rebounds in the home win.

Before the game, the team honored Leung on Bearcats' Appreciation Night for playing in her final regular-season home game.

Alicia Gumbs led the visiting Cardinals with 22 points and six rebounds.
